Md. Shafiul Alam Uzzwal is the founder and the chairman of Bright Powertech Ltd. After graduating through high school he completed his Graduation and Master’s under University of Dhaka.
With practical involvement in the sector since 1994, Mr. Uzzwal possesses over three decades of cumulative industry experience covering installation, modernization, commissioning, troubleshooting, and lifecycle maintenance of vertical transportation systems. His technical exposure—combined with overseas training in elevator and escalator engineering—has enabled him to introduce internationally benchmarked operational standards within the local market.
By importing technologically advanced elevator systems, he has helped bridge the technological gap between Bangladesh and more developed markets. His focus extends beyond importation to knowledge transfer—ensuring local engineers and technicians are trained to manage sophisticated systems independently.
One of his strongest contributions is building a structured servicing model. He has developed responsive maintenance frameworks that include routine inspection cycles, rapid breakdown response, spare parts inventory management, and long-term modernisation solutions. This ensures durability, safety, and cost-efficiency for building owners.
As the Founder Secretary of Bangladesh Elevator, Escalator & Lift Importers Association (BEELIA), Bangladesh’s first elevator association, he played a pioneering role in organising industry stakeholders. Through this platform, he advocates for regulatory frameworks, ethical import practices, standardised safety guidelines, and fair competition in the elevator market.
